This delicious Indian yogurt sauce made with refreshing cucumber is the perfect summer side! It can be served as dip for breads, like naan, or put over top of grilled chicken or even on a sandwich! I personally prefer it without adding feta cheese to it, but my husband prefers it with, it definitely gives it more of a sour taste.
Yield: 8 servings
Prep time: 15 minutes
Total time: 20 mintues
Ingredients
1 cup | greek yogurt
1/2 | cucumber
3 tbsp | cilantro, roughly chopped
1/2 tbsp | extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp | coriander, ground
1/4 tsp | ground cumin
2 oz | feta cheese (optional)
Directions
- Deseed the cucumber and either chop it finely, or just roughly chop it and throw it into a food processor. If you use a food processor don’t get the pieces too small or it will turn to mush.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients in with the cucumber.
- Refrigerate, it can be served immediately, but for the best flavor, it’s better to let it sit overnight before serving.
