Banana and Spinach Smoothie
I often make this the night before and keep it in the fridge overnight, just give it a good shake in the morning! The carob powder adds a nice depth of flavor, if you have it!
Yield: 1 smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup | banana, sliced (can also use frozen banana
½ cup | spinach
½ tbsp | maple syrup
1 tsp | chia seeds
½ tsp | flax seeds
1 tbsp | oatmeal
1 tsp | carob powder (optional)
Almond milk (enough to cover the bananas)
Directions
- Add bananas and spinach to the blender. If using a personal blender add enough almond milk to cover the bananas (not the spinach) and then add in additional ingredients. If using a large blender add the milk in last. This is because in a personal blender you have to flip it over and the chia seeds end up stuck to the bottom.
Thank you so much!!! I just got diagnosed with Gerd a month ago and have really struggled to find recipes that fit this new diet and life change. This was so validating and helpful to have this resource. Thank you! Thank you!
